|I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers,
intercessions and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a
quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

|A Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father, it's me again, needing you to help me get through another day. Let me ask first that you
forgive me because I know that I did something or said something or thought something that didn't line up with
your perfect will for me. Then, I want to thank you for yesterday and the fact that I made it.
I thank you that no matter what I had to face, I didn't face it alone. I thank you that although the enemy might
have had his sights on me and mine, your angels stood guard. And since I don't know what's in front of me
today, I ask that you continue to keep your hands on me and mine. I know that I've planned to do all sorts of
things today, but only you know how many of those things I will actually accomplish.
Only you know what dangers may be lurking around the corner for me and mine. Only you know what
disappointments and set backs I will have to face. So, because of this, I'm asking you to guide my steps. I'm
asking you to lead me through the troubled waters. I'm depending on you to keep a hedge of protection around
me and mine. I'm trusting you to make a way out of no way. I'm relying on you to be my shield and my buckler.
And, should things not go according to my plans and I have to face something today, I trust you Lord to see me
Thank you in advance, Lord, for all that you do. I know that you have my back and I know that you love me for
me. You take me just as I am and for that, I am eternally grateful!
