Don't pull your cake out before it's done....
The Word For Women Network  An Interactive Ministry
What do you do while you're waiting on God to deliver the vision that you know in your heart He
gave to you?  How do you face the skeptical stares of the folks that you told your vision to and
they don't see it happening?  How do you continue speaking what you believe God told you even
though you don't have the faintest idea as to when your vision will manifest?

There's only one answer...FAITH!  And now you're probably saying to yourself, "that's easier said
than done."  You are so right.  Sometimes having faith is the hardest thing that we are called to
do, especially in the face of a multitude of negatives...no money, no food, no car, no place to call
home...and the list goes on and on.  Or, maybe God showed you that your business or your
ministry would grow and prosper.  Be patient...

Putting your vision into play before it's time is much like taking a cake out of the oven before it is
done, and then trying to serve it.  What do you have?  A HOT MESS!!!!  How do I know?
Unfortunately,  from experience.  I wondered why it was taking so long for my vision to
manifest.  Why were others seeing their dreams come true and mine weren't.  Why was I
praying and nothing seemed to happen?  I asked Him because I wanted to know.  Now this may
not be your testimony, but I had to look at myself.  I had even begun to doubt if I had really seen
what I thought I saw and heard what I thought I heard.  Surely I must have been mistaken.  And
because I was filled with doubt, the enemy made sure that I had a full dose of fear to go with my
unbaked cake.

God showed me, with His infinite wisdom and mercy, that I hadn't misread Him and I hadn't seen
the wrong thing, I just needed to stay in the kitchen just a little while longer.  Big cakes require
more baking time than cupcakes. And, while my cake is still in the oven, He told me to get my
frosting together, meaning, get myself in order.  Take care of the things that I knew were
lacking in my character.  Then He told me to prepare my display table and get it ready for the
magnificent cake that would soon be coming out of the oven.

Don't give up on your dream, don't forsake your vision.  Maybe God is just making sure that
everything is in order so you won't have a hot mess that you don't know what to do with or even
worse, have to trash.  Try the Spirit by the Spirit if you're not sure if you heard correctly from the
Lord concerning your vision.  If you dream of becoming the best drug dealer in the city, it's safe
to say that the vision probably didn't come from God.  Now that illustration might be a little
extreme, but I'm sure you get the idea.  God says in His Word that He desires that we prosper in
all things so your believing Him for the business of your dreams or a ministry that is off the
chain is not out of the question.  However, if it looks like it's taking forever, don't fret.  Take this
time to make sure that your t's are crossed and your i's dotted.  Maybe this is a good time to
gain more education or experience so that the enemy won't be able to derail you.  Maybe
consecrating yourself and your vision with a fast and praying might be in order....

Don't give up on God or yourself.  The Word says ...
being confident of this, that he who began a
good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.  Philippians 1:6
Waiting For The Vision     by Bernadette Love
Then ye shall call upon me, and ye shall go and
pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.  And
ye shall seek me, and find me when ye shall
search for me with all your heart.
Jeremiah 29: 12-13
There is no fear in love;
but perfect love casteth
out fear:  because fear
hath torment.  He that
feareth is not made
perfect in love.
